Quite a few songs are played in Cmajor in fact I find many female singers like to sing in C so you'd use F harp in 2nd (one that comes to mind is Etta James version of Hound Dog) - in many cases Low F won't cut thru the band well on the first octave - but try switching to it on holes 6-10 (exact same key).
PS - Hear how well Jason's cuts thru!

I have watched that video probably a couple hundred times. His control, his crisp, clean phrasing, and his fat tone are very incedible on the upper end of an F harp.
He plays the 6 overblow and 7 overdraw like they are the 3 and 4 hole of a low F harp.
He plays some of his licks in three different octaves.
Adam posted this video with praises right after it came on youtube.
I can't find any 2nd postion blues on a F harp that (IMHO) cooks like this does.
To OP
I play Yankee Doodle on the top holes of an F harp. Sounds a lot like a piccolo.
Junior Wells Messin with the kid SB2 did a few sons in C with a F harp. A couple of them are kind of rare recording for him because they were amplified. James Cotton used an F harp I use to like the album (CD) live MR. Superharp. I think it was from 86'. I don't know the name of the song, but yes there is a song with F harp on it. If you asked that question you probably don't have a vast collection of blues recordings. I would suggest that James Cotton MR. Superharp. James Cotton is one of those guys you should buy a few recordings of. The essential recoedings of Sonny Boy Williams is a double CD with I think 4 or maybe 5 songs with F harp.
Last night I was blowing 6 through 10 on my F harp a lot.
The guys were playing in C and I was in second position. The tunes worked well with a major pentatonic scale (not blues scale). When I blow major pentatonic tunes, I go from 1 draw up to 10 draw. ---------- intermediate level (+) player per the Adam Gussow Scale, Started playing 2001
