Hey guys, nice knowing ya!

Japan got nailed big time....we're next...sorta. Nobody can say how big it is yet. It should have hit Midway by now. They'll know soon.
At least I'm not working at my hotel when it's scheduled to hit. But if they need me and I can makeit in to work, I have to go....boo hoo.
Shiva in action!
Looks like Kilauea is bubbling again, too. Ominous signs lookin like a big one hittin the west coast, too.
Maybe nothing...stay tuned.
Nice knowing ya just the same.
All my amps and mics go to MP.
Aloha Oi!

Hey, at least you can head to higher ground ! I had the foresight to escape Wisconsin six years ago. Fascism is alot harder to run away from. Kills more people than natural disaters, too.

Acts of nature tend to unify humans to help each other. Political power grabs pit people against each other. I have friends still there, and they are on the verge of armed rebellion. The media is trying to keep a lid on it and are not reporting how bad things are there.

West Coast won't go before the New Madrid line does. Goodbye Memphis, St. Louis, Cairo, Little Rock, Lexington. Nature'a way of addition by subtraction.

a couple little waves hit...nothing bad...thank our lucky palm trees!
As for swipes at particular politics going on.

I'll simply say...nobody in Japan gives a hoot right now!

As for Wisconsin...

Terrible what happened, I agree. It's hard...

The bitter pill. Cut backs are un avoidable. Pony up UNIONS!

I fear the worst for sure. Their death grip has over stayed it's value.

I have always thought unions had waaaay too much power.

But this is a harp forum...perhaps I should have said my 'goodbyes' in another place.

Good to be back!

Can we lock this thread? lol!

Yeah, let's go no further on the politics, lest things spin out of control as they occasionally do.

MojoKane and MP, glad you guys made out okay.

Thoughts and prayers going out to Japan. A horrible thing like that tsunami makes you suddenly appreciate your life and not want to take things and people for granted as we often do. I'm gonna go home and hug my kids and wife for a while this evening. Then I think I'll play harp really loud.

@ todd,
thanks Todd..We are still having aftershocks here and the wife and I didn't sleep at all last night (it's 10:30 am now) For your information, some of my students lost family and some of them , relatives are missing.. so we can use any prayer we can get........

people who live near a reactor had to move 6 am to get out of a 10 kilometer radius..

thats it for now,,, hope to be back later...

yeah, no sense if we all drown..MP.

Man! the video is surreal! How could anyone escape that sci-fi blob lookin thing headin down your street. They didn't have a chance! It must have been traveling at 50 mph. Awesome video. Brings alot in to perspective. Profound sense of insignificance, regarding mother natures wrath....
The loss must be inconceivable, for our brothers and sisters in Japan.
Tragedy can bring people closer together, eh? It's the taking away that hurts so much.
Hugging loved ones, making resolutions, treating your pet to something special, or just sitting down and being content for what you have NOW!...is a good idea.
let's not forget....playing your harmonica til your hearts content, too.
Thanks for all the well wishes.
I really wasn't going to give all my amps and mics to MP. (just kidding, I reeeally was..)

hi Ron,fellow harpers...
...unbelievable footage still coming in. I am not so confident where I live is safe. They say the 'zone' is a half mile...uhhh. O.k> it's more like 6 miles.... according to Japan stats.

Seriously folks, I'm about one mile from Waikiki, and feeling very vulnerable.

All the prep won't do you any good if you don't have a house to survive in.

I was hiking the mountain tops here in Hawaii years ago. And I recall seeing beach shells.

Ofcourse, we all know mountains came from the depts of the ocean.

Though, I fear scientists don't have the story completely right.

Just enjoy the moment, and be ready for the big one.

Oi Ron,
tsunami's, rouge waves,.......yeah...real stuff to consider, when you start to think about everyday life as we know it.
Humans can be such idiots...I'm ashamed to be one, sometimes...
Tsunamis and rouge waves?...how about nuclear power plants melting down and weakening fault lines?
Or, how about cosmic gravitational energy? created when the scheduled planet alignments begin occurring in late 2011.
...makes ya wanna go out and party. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Here's my (glass half empty) interpretation of the Mayan 2012 end of calendar prediction...and it's possible cause.
It's called, syzygy, which describes the alignment of three or more celestial bodies in the same gravitational system along a line.
Apparently, there will be 8 planets aligned. Pretty dire outlook. That's alot of pull...
...why sound the alarm? ha!
How is this related to harmonica? who cares...?
lol!
that maybe all we'll have time to grab....on the bright side...hmmm haven't seen that side yet...maybe an asteroid will jar the unfolding event and prevent total destruction.
enough rambling, eh?
it's my day off...take care, all you dawgs out there!
