I don't know about buying them, but I know some people make their own out of paper clips. The method is to cut about 1/4 inch off of the end of a large paper clip, insert it into the collet (the part that holds the bit) of a dremel, tighten it up, and get it whirling. Then you hold a jewlers file up to the side of the spinning paperclip and file it to the necessary diameter. Then you trim the head and shaft to size, and the result is a piece of metal that is the same diameter, size, and shape as the original rivet. You then hammer it in like a regular rivet. (I use a small hobby anvil, a nail-set, and a tack hammer). I think I read about this method on Harp-l a while back, so try searching there for more info if you are interested.
I have not tried doing this myself, as I usually just use the original rivet of the donor reed when replacing reeds. Actually, now that I think about it, if I needed a rivet, I'd probably just "steal" it from a junk harp rather than make or buy one. Actually, it's probably cheaper/easier for you to just go and buy a crappy Bluesband, and pop the rivets out of that than to try and source new rivets, and purchase them (at probably a significant markup). ----------

Ok have you worked much with rivets? you can buy them from Hohner. There's enough trouble working with regular rivets, that its a serious pain in the ass, and those rivets already have a head formed on them. A new rivet is basically just a very short piece of wire, in fact you could even experiment with wire. I know Joe Leone has used wire, even shoe nails for rivets. Just keep in mind if you work with new rivets, you're going to have to form a head, which is not something you've had to do if working with rivets harvested from a reedplate. I like Isaac's bluesband idea. ----------

RVB004TC 100 Truss Hd 1/4" long $ 4.40
They are 1/4 inch long, but they are the right width. I snip them. I can't say whether they are the easiest to work with, since I have not done this more than a few times.
