I can't believe it. I've just put a video on YouTube and have been warned it has matching content, may be blocked and I may need to submit a copyright dispute form.
It's entirely my own work and composition apart from the fact it uses the 12 Bar Blues Chord sequence. I would be completely dumbfounded if anything like it exists already. I think it's unique.
Does anyone know of any software that can ID tunes so I can at least find out what my efforts sound similar to, or the same as please?
Here is the offending music.
I'm hoping that none of the record companies can lay claim to the 12 Blues genre in future.
I won't bore you with the details of the video, it's just a project that I'm involved with but I was having fun creating a musical soundtrack.
It was one I mentioned a short while ago that is still waiting for me to add harp when I have the time.

lol, its definantly unique, i have never heard anything quite like that. the "ye hees!" had me rolling on the floor laughing....

This would be considered a blues? It felt like I was playing Super Mario Bros., ahem, not that I ever spent any time playing SMB

If you sincerely believe that YouTube has made a mistake, you simply contest their judgment. They warn you not to do that lightly, but it sounds as though you've got a great case and I'd urge you to do that. You can find the appropriate place to register your complaint on the "protected content" page, or whatever it's called.

Thanks Guys. Yes Adam, I read the warning and it does scare you somewhat. At first I thought I'd better pull it because I don't want litigation but I'm certain it is all entirely my own work apart from the 12 Bar Sequences. Thanks.
Glad it made you laugh @thechangingcolors, exactly what I'm looking for.
HOB@ It uses the blues 12 bar sequences.

YouTube is doing an awesome job of taking what was once a great thing & making it suck. Nowadays you get an advertisement for every video you watch. Now people can't upload music they make. I'm sure they're just protecting their own arses but they're making the place less nice of a place to visit.
