I was listening to the American National Anthem on Super Bowl and thought. I wonder if I could play that 2nd position and found it works well, so then had a look at my own National Anthem blues style and that works ok too.
I went on to play the German and French ones and planned it so the end note of one anthem was the exact start note of the next one thus making a medley of Anthems.
Anyway it got me to thinking it would be cool to just Youtube my UK National Anthem Blues/Rock style and invite other Forum members (if you’re up for it) to add your own take on your National Anthem.
I play three different national anthems (well, I don't know all of O, Canada, and I learned God Save the Queen as My Country Tis of Thee. I'll try to remember to record something tomorrow. :) Nice job.
I did one just prior to Australia day. Its a mix of our various anthems from the 'dirgy' official one to the fair dinkum ones. Not blues style though. g
