Congrats all round: - to Wilf Taylor, Stuart (Brewer?) and James Aldcroft for hosting what looks like a brilliant event - to Captain Bliss and crew for great performances - to Russ for his tireless contribution to the arts: without Oxharp half of the best players in the country would go undocumented.
It was indeed brilliant and *wonderful* to see rooms bursting at the seams to accommodate harmonica players young and old, raw and seasoned, green and grey. Bill Eborn + band's jazz set (dunno if Oxharp recorded it?) was awesome, too. One of those "wow this is a great day" days.

@Oxharp:
/I am going to see West Weston on 26th Feb in London if you are interested./
Sounds like an excellent idea. Currently watching your recordings of West Weston + Victor Puertas at 'Round Midnight. Glorious!
@Captainblis: The gig is at the Aint Nothin But Blues Bar. Get there before 8:30pm or it will cost you £5 on the door. Thats if you can get in. Its along wait for the first set at 10 till 11pm second set is 12 till 1am 3rd set is 2 till 3ish so its a long night with no room and no where to sit. It also helps if you are over 6 feet tall. But man I think the whole thing is just magical and should be experienced at least once.I have been there about 6 times now but it takes it out of you the next day as I have to get back to Oxford usually at about 5 am.
