About 1/2 through the 1st of two NH programs, my (insert favorite expletive here) Hohner Harmonica rack snapped! It's one of these...looks pretty strong, don't it?

Well, it ain't, apparently...just the pressure of playing harp snapped the part that the tightening screw goes into. I've had it about 8-9 months, replacing a Lee Oskar rack that I used for nearly a decade...believe I'm going back to a Lee Oskar!

Had to do a lot of fancy flat-picking and avoid tunes that are "harmonica-centric" for the rest of that program and all of the following one.

Harp racks are a pain in the neck.

It's hard enough playing with a harp rack anyway without them breaking!

btw If you want your images to show up write them like this:

@Nacoran I thought they were a pain in the arse but maybe I'm just wearing them too low.

Sorry to hear about that. I have been playing with a harp rack for 35 years and have yet to break one playing. I play the cheapest ones out there - the dylan/jimmy reed type- and early in my days have broken a couple trying to bend the angle to fit my mouth better. Now I just use them as they come. I have had the hohner one as well. For that one to break it must have been defective. Those things are built like a sherman tank compared to the one I use. Walter
