It will be interesting to see the impact that has throughout the world. Shakira is pretty well known at this point -- her playing harmonica is big exposure for the instrument.

Using a Db harp too I think - stores aren't going to be able to stock enough of them.

I guess you would have to call that minimalist harmonica playing. I was glad she brought it back at the end to tie things together thematically.

Any idea what she is saying in the song?

ignoring the elephant in the room...

Looks like she's not playing or, if she does, she's holding it upside down. In both case, I would pay big money for being that harp.

I'm not at all into her music, but still, she's really a talented performer. If you have a chance to hear her sing vallenatos in her younger days (when she was a brunette in columbia), go for it.

@Nacoran, don't worry about the lyrics, it's about her being a gipsy, and being able to leave him tomorow... (yawn)

Great outfit though, but she puts herself at risk of being sued by the Harp Players Guild for not wearing a hat.

i couldn't even get through a full 30 seconds...

Okay, a little off topic, but I've had a theory that she kind of sounds a little like a wookie... like the Star Wars wookie... anyone? Okay, maybe it's just me, but I just remember hearing her on the radio, and seeing Chewbaca dancing around in heels telling everyone how his hips don't lie...

I need to go to bed...

Well I never, I do believe the Shakira's love interest in this vid is none other than world famous Spanish tennis player Rafa Nadal.

Yes, the lucky guy is Rafael Nadal.

I don't really see the link between "Gipsy" and "harp" (banjo, at least, was Django Reinhart's first instrument). But this is not gipsy music anyway...

Indeed best harp playing I've seen, not best I've heard...

@ Greyowl- It is Nadal! That's pretty funny. I didn't pay much attention to the vid and figured it was just some shirtless model but it's def him. Sadly, finding out Nadal was in the video was the only highlight to watching this...

Interesting attempt at pop-indian-latin music. Lyrically it begs for a make over otherwise I kinda like it.

Turns out she does play:
