Could someone please tell me what would be a good mic choice for recording with Audacity. What type etc...I'm really clueless. ---------- My YouTube Channel
i use the Zoom H2 recorder for my stuff. then i upload it to audacity and mix it all together. works pretty well for me. heres an example of what it sounds like........
believe it or not, i recorded a tune called The Thumb, a cover of PT Gazells version, on Audacity using a guitar hero microphone for the Xbox, and it was just friggin awesome. best recording ive ever done...results may vary, but i did very very little tweaking to the audio track i laid down using it... ---------- Kyzer's Travels Kyzer's Artwork "Music in the soul can be heard by the universe." - Lao Tzu
Yeah, Amazon had the best price on it but I ended up going with Newegg because I had a $100 gift certificate. Still, after taking off the gift certificate I'm getting it for about $20.
I use a Tascam US-122 usb interface. Then I use what ever mics that are available. When I record our harmonica club, I put one mic in front of the bass guitar. It picks up the guitar and drums enough to get all 3. Then I take a line out of the PA to get all the vocals and harps.
There are other 2 channel usb devices available, Mine is about 2 or 3 years old and is actually more than what I need or use. ---------- intermediate level (+) player per the Adam Gussow Scale, Started playing 2001
