A great Jimi jam. You don't really think about the harmonica when you think Hendrix. The harp doesn't really add much here. Whoever was playing this must have been a good friend of JH's. I was wondering who else has done this song with more emphasis on the harmonica ? Thanks Hendrix Country Blues ---------- ========== My YouTube Channel

OK, I feel better now. Anyway...evidently the harmonica player was Paul Caruso whose friendship with Jimi ended after Jimi punched him in the face at some point. I gather that JH was quite difficult when drinking. So sure, it's a thread with little use but afterall, "The Hendrix of Harmonica" does drop in here occasionally so what the heck. ---------- My YouTube Channel

Nice track I never heard before. "who else has done this song with more emphasis on the harmonica ?" As a rule, I don't like to play harp on "guitar god" songs. After all, they're a showcase for guitar. The guitarist probably worked hard to learn the song and they aren't about to lay back for a harp. If you can find a guitarist that's willing to do that, hold him dearly and never let him go! :)
I'll play "Mustang Sally" before I'd play "Redhouse".

Well, after all Shredder, Watchtower WAS written by Dylan,:). But, yeah, the tune's a natural for some balls out harpin'.
