So I got a G Marine Band and played the hell out of it. After a while the nails got loose and since I watched a you tube vid on it,that makes me an expert right? So I need a comb. Wood is good(I learn fast) plastic, brick whatever. Any ideas where I could get one?

Pop the nails out, put a sliver of toothpick in the holes and put the nails back. You are good to go.
Unless you have another reason for switching combs, I would suggest that's the best course of action.
But I understand the desire to tinker. If you are in the mood to fool around with combs, you can try flat sanding it, drilling it for screws (and tapping the reedplates) and even sealing the wood if it swells. No real need to replace it, though.

That would be a great idea if it were in one piece. My fault. Drilled the nail hole out too close to the tine of the comb and it snapped like an 90 year olds hip. Got it figured out now but I need a comb.

If you click on the 'Thread Organizer' link in my signature there is a link for customizers. I really need to go through and organize them by who offers what, but I know Chris Reynolds (Builder of Stuff), and Randy Sandoval (Genesis Harmonicas) both make combs (I have one on order from Chris now). HarpNinja is on there too (Mike Fugazzi). Actually, there are a bunch of members on the list. I'm just not sure which ones make combs off the top of my head.

That's what I like about this place. A dolt like me does something dumb, ask for help and half a dozen people jump in. Thank you all. I really just need a stock one. Doubt if I could do a custom one justice(I suck)but if I could find a pig iron one, maybe I wouldn't screw it up. I'll give them a try. Thanks

Zipperhead, I recently screwed up a comb. I was trying to convert it to screws. It didn't snap, but I didn't get the holes straight. That's why I've got one on order from Chris!

I know that sinking feeling when you plan out your sequence of actions, you come home from work and rush though all your family things getting things done to liberate some time at the end of the day, finally tuck the kids into bed and sneak down into the basement to carefully start your project.
Slowly, carefully, as sweat beads down your neck you push through the job. Forty-five minutes into the job, you start to see the light at the end of the tunnel only to
*snap*
f*ck!
*sigh*
..start looking for the dried up tube of crazy glue to try to put the comb back together somehow. ----------

I use Randy Sandoval's combs and Chris Reynolds' combs. I highly recommend them both.
