Jim:

I don't mind you letting folks know from time to time what new products and services you're offering on your website. This forum should always make itself available in that information clearing-house sort of way. But to be frank, you're pushing it. If you'd like to participate in this forum as an active member, you're welcome to. But please tilt the balance away from where you've perhaps inadvertently ended up, which is placing yourself in direct competition with this forum ON this forum.

Competition is great. I admire your enterprise. Please conduct your competition somewhere else. Thanks.

[Edited to add: I should note that I've received multiple complaints about this issue from members of this forum and I've ignored them until now, when yet one more complaint led me here.]

Boris-so is my father. It's not hereditary, I guess, since none of his three kids are. I remember we toured a WW2 sub together once when I was a kid, and there where two sets of arrows painted on the bulkheads-red and green-that corresponded with a self-guided tour on a brochure. He couldn't see or differentiate the green ones from any other color. We got kinda lost, until I took over ;-)

I think it's a recessive gene, although I think it can be caused by injury too.

According to Wikipaedia there are multiple genes on multiple chromosomes (i.e. not just sex-linked) that can cause colour blindness. Nate is right, it can also be acquired.

I'm also color blind. Late last year there was a show on about the statue of liberty (not sure what show, I wasn't really paying a lot of attention) and they made reference to the statue's "green patina". I asked my wife "So how long has the statue of liberty been green?" she said "Your whole life, and then some." For 47 years I thought it was gray!
