Just been trying to figure out how to play over one chord - my efforts are posted below. It's very rough and the less said about my guitar playing the better, but hell, you have to start somewhere. I'm finding it pretty tough to sustain ideas over this sort of thing - chord changes give you a way out it seems. Any tips on how to play over the one-chord appreciated!
True ..Roadhouse does not stay on the one...it goes to the 4, but only briefly. MOst of the tune is an awesome one chord groove so the OP might be interested.
most blues was one chord before 12 bar.before the blues mixed with a little european harmony music.it was modal [african]folk style field hollers etc.to see a diddly bow one string player ,singing and hitting notes with overtones jumping out at you ,too cool...
