when i woke up on xmas day somebody very kindly bought me another green bullet 520dx (the new model)It came to my attention that when i opened it there was a leaflet so i read it and was shocked! Supprisingly the mic contains a chemical which will cause cancer and reproductive failure. That alarmed me and probably will never use it again! (nahh ill uses it if it kills me as it sounds fantastic) i was woundering if there is any knolege if somebody knows what the chemical is. Is it solder??

Solder is lead which does cause harm over time if you eat it but I can't think what chemical they are referring to. Maybe the harp element has cadmium or some exotic rare metal in it.

Probably solder. And it's probably a California regulation that they tell you. If you had a ten foot pole with a piece of lead on one end and no way to reach that end California would warn you about it. I understand the sentiment behind it but they don't tend to put the warnings in very good context.

yep,. it's the solder an as nacoran said in California,.everything will give ya cancer !!
Shure could not sell the mic in California with out the warning!
