there have been threads on this forum that you could probably search and find.
the main trick is to find a case that has the capacity to hold what you need. (plus some growing room.) the cooler the case looks, the more mojo it will have and will increase your harp skills accordingly.

folks have then divided the compartment using a variety of materials. how you want to hold the harps is key. vertical seems to be preferred because you can store more and they are easy to get to.
use pvc or copper pipe insulation. i like the insulation because it keeps the harps secure and there is no rattle.
some use plexiglass as dividers, too. for this method, i think you need a bit more work and tools.

good luck.

Someone made one out of a plastic tool case and soft cell foam. They had a video of it on here. I'm getting set to head off for Xmas, but if you don't find it bump the thread up in a couple days and I'll go digging. There are a couple basic types. Soft vs. Hard cover and laying the harps on their back or standing them on their end. (Was that a Harveyharp video? Or am I confused. I could be confused.)

edit: Well, I had the Harv part right. That's the vid I was talking about.

I use a briefcase (with a Whitman's Sampler Box to hold my harps. It fits perfectly.) you can fit everything. Notebooks for notes, plenty of cable, hand warmers and even a towel or toilet paper.

I also have a small digital camera hard case. Fits all the harps needed, two mics, a bullet, 1 cable. My phone and a lighter.

I went to Harbor Freight and bought a case. I went to Hal Iwan's website and bought a foam insert for the same size case. I put the foam in the case. I put the harps in the holes and I was done in ten minutes, tops. Total cost was about $50.

Here is a video on how to make a harp case of a DeWalt screw gun case.

And a little something for entertainment.

Pretty much the same as Joe L. Got mine on sale at Home Depot for $20 - s I got the foam from a friend for free. Works Great.

I have perfect bunch of gear to carry, so to save space and weight I prefer to use softcases (like Seydel) for carrying harps, and harp belt for gigging.

I honestly wouldn't bother with a harp case. I don't any more. I keep my harps in the boxes they came in and then chuck 'em into a small backpack which can hold my mics, leads, etc. Far easier to carry and a lot less attractive to potential thieves than a fancy looking case.
