I've selected a fourth administrator/moderator: Peter Horrocks, a.k.a. Blocker. He hails from Australia, he's an academic like me, he's a longtime member who has kept a fairly low profile here, and I'm happy to have him as a deputy. He will help keep the peace and administer justice. He joins Nacoran, ToddLGreene, and Todd Parrott.

Merry Christmas and happy Kwanzaa to all!

And there was me thinking that Australia had already sent their smartest candidate in.

Anyone heard anything from NOD lately?

@Rubes lol, thanks I will do my best to represent.

@Tooka who knows, perhaps he was our smartest; he was certainly an interesting character :>)

On a serious note, I did want to express a big thanks to Adam for allowing me the opportunity and honour to assist in the moderation of the site (it means a great deal to me).

As Adam mentioned, I do tend to keep a fairly low profile. I’m a peace loving bloke that definitely doesn’t feel a need to interject with my opinion on every topic, despite reading most of them every day. That said however, I guess now I will be having a little bit more to say when things start to go off the rails around here, as they inevitably seem to do.

I look forward to working with my fellow mods in trying and maintain a modicum of sanity on the site, and perhaps even having a laugh and discussing some harp related subjects with you all in the future.

Congrats on your promotion Blocker.

Just another thought re: mods.
How about having a different log-in name for the mods, for when they are acting as mods.

for instance if we see a post from "Nacoran", we would know it is Nate joining in the discussion - whereas if we see one from "Moderator 1" we know it's an official post and woe betide anyone who does not take heed.

Just a thought, but sometimes it's good to be able to separate your business persona from your leisure one, and I think it would lend the mods increased authority.

Mr. VLUN, I'm still getting acclimated to the program, but that's a good idea. I have yet to see if it is possible on this particular software, though. I will dig.

I'm sure it would simply require Adam to create a new account for each of you and transfer the admin privileges to those usernames. Maybe you now have the right access privileges to be able to create the new accounts yourselves?

Welcome,Blocker!! And good luck :)

I think it's a good idea to let the the mod's have their own profiles.. It makes it a lot easier to seperate the roles for the moderators! You guys have to be allowed to have your own personal view on this and that, and then you won't be accused so easily of mixing your roles..

@Tooka Yes I build three Sp 20's for NOD. He should have recieved them a little over a week ago. My wife and I share an Email account and she accidently deleted his Email and I have no way of reaching him now! I hope he got the harps!

Todd, this is the best I can do.

I drew them myself, and shaded them so they wouldn't taste flat.

edit: oh, and welcome to the job Blocker.

Zed: Edwards. Let's put it on.
Edwards: Put what on?
Zed: The last suit you'll ever wear.

Jay: [suited up] You know the difference between you and me? I make this look GOOD.

Thanks all for the best wishes and words of encouragement.

@Aussie how are you?

Yes we had a chat when you were considering doing some busking in the Queen Steet mall. Did you end up doing that?
