I'd like to ask everyone take a deep breath and reflect on Chris's passing. People will post threads trying to remember him in there own way. We are geographically diverse here, and people are using the forum as a place to share there memories. That is as good a use of the forum at this time as I can think of. However, we need to remember the forum creed to assume people are acting with good intentions. I've locked a couple of threads that got out of hand.
If you don't like an idea for how to remember Chris, pause for a moment and try to see if, when you take a moment to think about it, the other person might be someone else struggling to cope with loss. If they are, even if you don't agree, be polite. The people who Chris taught should consider maybe discussing things in a more private setting, not because the forum has any problem with you doing that, but because there will always be someone who will interrupt.
If you have something critical to say about Chris, well, ask yourself, is it the sort of thing you would show up at a funeral and blurt out? It's pretty well known I butted heads with Chris all the time. If you have a topic related to Chris you think might be controversial I make this proposal- contact me on Facebook and run it past me.
Leonid and Jim, please, as a favor to me, keep your reviews of Buddha off the forum for now. If you want to discuss when and whether it might eventually be appropriate, contact me off list. You are, of course, free to do whatever you want off the forum.
