I looked Buddha harp and compared it to some other custom harps. Now guys I tried to be as unbiased as I can possibly be. Anyway, the video is on youtube but marked as private let me know you want to see it

I am not going anywhere. I intend to be part of this community which I am grateful for. Without MBH I would have never had the wonderful journey I had with Chris. That's why I've decided, MBH is worth the bullshit.
Some of you, including yourself Sareg have shown me enough behavior to have faith in this community.
Chris's playing methods will not be held secret and is for everyone to share.
His proprietary secrets will not be released. But every other method he uses for custom work that are not really secrets, maybe just tricky to find online for free, will be shared for sure.

No matter how much you reverse engineer you will never know HOW he did it.
There are endless permutations.
You may find out what is different about the harmonica, but you will never know what his strokes, timing, and technique was. His theory and perspectives on each task were extremely unique and played MAJOR roles on the outcome of the quality of harps he built.
Everyone has their own thing or methods. That's what made him a pro-customizer.

Man, I don't know what to say. There was so much I wanted to ask Chris, but never did. I kept thinking about taking his lessons, but never did, kept thinking about buying one of his harps, but never did. I'm able to make my harps play as well as I can play, but at some point I'm going to be hitting the a platau. I will always wonder how the harmonica might have changed for me if I'd simply taken some of his lessons.

Zhin u r a joke.
The man recently died. Where is your respect? Moments after his death u talk about making money off his "secrets" and also give urself some kind of importance? U r some wealthy spoiled kid. U have all the expensive gear but ur playing is still childish that is y not me or ne1 else would by a harp from u. Ur daddy has a nice voice he must be a nice guy to support you.
& Pls stop speaking for Chris I kno 4 a fact he did nit hate or dislike ppl... U r dishonoring his memory.

Grow up already, we not talking about space shuttle here. The only reason people think that it is some king of magic is because they cannot play themself. All customizers use the same methods and they are known to everyone who wishes to learn.
The only reason Chris was good at customizing is because he was shit hot at playing it. Same goes for Joe Filisko, Joe Spiers and other top guys.

I have 2 videos on top of the range Buddha harp. First one loks at playability compare to other custom harps, in the second one I have disassembled the harp and looked inside. I am telling you now there is nothing special about it. I will publish it as soon as all memorial threads will go from the first page and people will start comming down.
On the other hand it will realy depend on how much people will piss me off on this forum in the next day or so.

Zhin, he is not saying that. He is saying that in a club situation where he lives, you would be up to your eyeballs in trouble with a hot head... Joe is a good guy and just shoots straight too...

I shot emails back and forth with him weekly for over a year all sorts of questions on harmonica and music & he never charged me a dime. Alternatively I also have a Buddha harmonicas and Skype lessons from him.
I'd also like to add I like your playing above Zhin, it is much better then last I heard you play (must be a year now)!

You may notice I'm tap dancing with what I say here. Chris and I had our differences. I'm not going to try to appropriate his friendship. Hermonica, you say you were Chris's friend. You need to assume that Chris would want his other friends to get along after he passed. You may consider that people are disrespecting his memory, but what I see here is people try to figure out how to keep his memory alive. I'm not going to try to weigh in on whether Chris would want his secrets revealed or not. That's for his friends to decide, but I don't think he'd want his friends arguing in public about it. The idea is out there. I suggest that people who want to discuss this make sure they add contact info in their profiles and get together in private when the time is appropriate.
I'm going to lock this thread now. Hermonica, you've violated the forum creed multiple times in this thread. I'm going to assume it's because you are grieving. Don't carry your anger into other threads.
