I decided if this is the first comment I get about sharing Chris's words then I will not waste my time and energy defending this if those I am sharing with are not open. Sorry bigd for creeping you out. On with your day.

I second. I hardly knew Chris, yet all of his words had an impact on me. I missed the chance to read this conversation, and would like to have that chance.

I read it, it had some valuable insights to learning music, but ot was also sad as Chris was also talking about that flu or smthing that apparently got him. Still, I found it good to read. Perhaps it was too soon to share for some..

I read it, too. It's always a little eerie to hear or see the words of a friend who is no longer with us, but I thought the conversation provided wonderful insight about what an exceptional person and exceptional musical talent Chris was and the generosity and grace--yes, grace--with which he shared his depth of knowledge. I viewed it as a sincere tribute, and I appreciate your having shared it with us.

I missed it, but that's ok. I went and read thru several email exchanges he and I have had over the last year or so, that I thankfully kept. He really was a gracious person, despite his sometimes harsh portrayal on the forum. His passion for his art and music was a great inspiration. I might have even let his dogs attack me...well, maybe that's a stretch.

Mal, I didn't find it creepy, at least not in the inappropriate sort of way. It was sort of eerie. I almost said something to disagree with Bigd, but I've decided to, for the most part, just pay my respects and keep my nose out of the rest of the Buddha threads. I think it was a fitting tribute.

I thought it looked like a good read. I didn't make it all the way through last night and copied it as I had a feeling it wouldn't stay up. It reminded me of the one lesson I did get from Chris via Skype. Some similar things were talked about. Perhaps if it were cleaned up and edited it might have seemed less creepy to those who thought so. Anywho, thanks for sharing some of his insights MAL.
