Here's a video of me singing ''Key to the Highway'' at a jam session in Ottawa, Canada. Enjoy. Sorry for the poor sound quality.

Mathieu

Need a bigger bass. I'm guessing the cam is next to the bass amp.

yeah! I know the visual setup sucks. This was the only place I could place my camera that made sense.

That was a JAM SESSION???? Man, I have paid to see shows that weren't even half as good at that! Those folks down at the pub that night were an extremely lucky audience!!! I don't see you guys having to do too many more free shows in the future! Fantastic!

@ Isaac: actually there were about 10 people in the audience 4 of whom were part of the staff! We basically played for ourselves!

heart2: You are really talented. I think you have a great voice, and you play harp well.

Dude - you need a bad ass big freakin' harp amp and a really great mic...... ;)

Mathieu - amazing! Which pub, and when is the next one?! I want to see this stuff, not yet at a point that I could join in though.

@Greg: I would if I could...but I'm still a student with an already very supporting wife, a 2 year-old and another child on the way. Here's how I play this scenario in my head:

Me: ''Honey I'm buying a bigger amp and a great vintage mic, ok?''

Her: ''Mathieu, I'm leaving you and taking the kids to my mother''

But if you are ready to supply me with both amp and mic I would wear a BlowsMeAway T-Shirt at every gig and jam I go to. I would even have it printed on the hood of my car. How's that for a deal? Free publicity in 2 canadian provinces...think about it :-)

@Philippe: that one was at the Rainbow Bistro in Ottawa, Canada. They host a jam every sunday afternoon. Were do you live?

Mathieu,
get yourself a PayPay-account and I'll donate:)
I don't have a lot of money myself but I would love to contribute to a mic and amp for you! That's how much I like your playing;)

@Thorvaldsen76:

thanks for your comment. You're very generous. But I wouldn't feel right doing that. Besides, before I start buying all that expensive gear, I have a lot to learn on the harp. But if I ever cut a CD eventually (I have been approched by a few people) , I 'll let you know and you can buy one if you feel like it.

That's a done deal,Mathieu!

I know how you feel about donation because it's the same for me. I don't have much gear but the little I have is bought for the gig-money I've managed to save up:)

Mathieu - the Rainbow is not too difficult for me to get to, I'm in the East end! I'll see if I can make it, but that might not be until January since I will be getting ridiculously busy soon.
