As an old Sucker (and Blower) I need to warn everyone, who has not heard me warn the world already, that the Warble, shake, trill, or whatever you want to call it that is performed by shaking your head could possible cause a detached Retina, especially if you have had eye problems, or are real old, like myself.

This is a warning that I had from my Eye Surgeon after I had cataract operations years ago. I alway shake the harp, or use my tongue, but never shake my head. It even gives me a headache to watch someone else do it.

that headshake has to be pretty violent to detach a retina! what if you close your eyes reeeaal tight?

gotta believe, using that doctor's advice, that an awesome vibrato is gonna do some damage.
then there is the very physical hand wha-wha. i dont even wanna think what type of lasting damage that is gonna do!

i think i'll go back to juggling chainsaws for a hobby.

i hear yah eharp,

a simple mod to prevent painful "warble eye" is to go get the correct size o-rings for your eye balls at an auto parts store- this will totally lock your eyes in place.

never try a quick fix with epoxy or micro-pore tape.
