I just got an email from Adam containing nothing but a URL which AVG says is malware. If you get an email from Adam, don't click on the link unless Adam explains what it's for.
I've emailed him to suggest he may have a virus.

It depends if he ever emailed you before from that address if not you won't get it or it may be in your spam box.
This is happening more & more frequently. It happened to me, it happened to another guy in my office, etc. If it was what I think it is it's a link that'll take you to an online store to buy viagra, etc. I didnt check to see if I got it but if so Ill open it with my crappy celly, lol.

Yikes! I've been getting such emails for the past few months--from other people, that is. I never open them. I'm surprised this has happened, frankly. In 16 years, my various Macs have never had viruses, or crashed as a result of one, and this sort of thing has never happened. Obviously something has very recently changed all that.

It's not necessarily from Adam. Could be from anybody who's PC has a virus with Adam's email address in their address book.

Actually, I have been unable to sign on to my AOL account. The password seems to have been changed. Not good! I'm about to call AOL.
In the meantime: it would be a great help if folks who have received an "email" from me would post that here.
It seems pretty obvious that my email account has been compromised.

I got the email with no subject but my virus protection blocked it hope adam did not make somebody mad out for revenge

i have gotten emails from adam before. i assume others on this forum have, too. usually related to the forum or something he's selling, if i recall correctly.
everyone of them has had some explanation of what it is.
i never open ANYTHING FROM ANYBODY that contains just a link unless it is an ongoing correspondence.
and i dont think there is a need to begin thinking it was specifically attached to adam or any other conspiracy theories.

it isnt mac or PC related, but specifically the aol account. i got one too...but the link was dead. AOL should be able to reset your password for you post haste.

I think Adam's email has been compromised ,a couple of days ago I have received an email that looked very suspicious, and it was addressed to at least another 50 emails , and I could tell from the other email addresses that they were all MBH forum members.....the only place that somebody could get all that, is from Adam's email.
I wanted to post this some days ago but I kinda forgot about it.

I had a female friend who had a spam blocker that prevented her friends from asking her to join a lottery syndicate because it was gambling, but she was often asked if she wanted a 12" penis.

adam- on your other virus related thread, i think you said you have been using macs for 15(?) years.
after reading your last post here, i got a question.
is this still the original mac??
i've had my macbook for 4+ years. i would like to think it is gonna die soon so i can justify buying a bigger and badder mac.
