Tootka, not sure i> @tooka: I've figure out how to do the voting. Just use the "forms" option in google docs (which you have access to from your google account). Here's a tutorial: http://www.demogeek.com/2009/04/01/polls-made-easier-with-google-docs-spreadsheet/

Depending upon what options you choose, you can make it "vote for only one" (radiobuttons), "Vote for as many as you like" (checkboxes), or "Writein" (text box). All the results go straight to a spreadsheet in your Google docs where they get tabulated. You can then either just embed a read-only version of that spreadsheet to show the results, or embed some kind of graph or list afterwards...

@isaacullah. I neither have the time nor inclination to get involved in any more google docs etc. I don't know what it entails but if it involves members here having to go to yet another page to cast there vote then forget it.

I propose that I just open a voting thread once the deadline is met and let the members vote and police that themselves.

I really don't have the time to spend messing around with Google Docs. Thanks for the offer anyway.

Well, the alonetime I needed to make a recording this past weekend never came to fruition, and I'm preparing to got out of town later this week. Y'all have fun. I'm just the metaphor equivalent of the unknown guy in the professional wrestling matches who shows up to get destroyed by the big name guys, anyway. I'll try to get some time to sit still in my spandex, knee boots and mask long enough to check out all the vids, though.

I think highly of you for putting all this together, Tooka.

...spandex kneeboots and mask. That's flat funny but I'm thinking you're playin possum, at least you ought to be. Put something up with a phone or whatever you can. If you really do have the wrestler gear put that on and do a parody of the OB Maruader vs the TB Crusher. Do it on a cell phone like a local news blog catching a grainy video first hand account.
Ok, I'll do it, on the cheapest biker harp ever.

Yeah, A simple voting thread will do! No need to get too fancy too quick! ;) I just submitted my own submission! Given a couple more weeks, I could probably have it down to where I would be happy with it, but I don't have any time this week, so it is what it is! Now let's start seeing the submissions flow in peoples!
