I've become a fan of Jason from all of the video's he's placed on YouTube. I've heard only bits and pieces about all of his troubles. Anyone have details on how he is getting along and if he is playing anywhere. Adam??

The last thread on this topic blew up and Jason seemed like he wanted some privacy. You can probably find the thread in the archives (forum search is near the bottom on the left). I think the thread may be locked to new comments.

Not to self promote or anything (ya, right :) but I've just spent 2 weeks or so going through all Jason's youtube videos to index and categorize them. If you miss Jason (or are un-initiated) there is nothing like it, if not just for the skater vids (which are a real insight into his level of compulsion and/or commitment).

Kingo...leave what alone? Nothing wrong with fans, new and old, inquiring about a great musician whom they admire. Why wouldn't we discuss one of the greatest diatonic harp players of all time?
Kudzu..why mention it? I'm glad your privy, but others care too.
Nobody loves Jason's playing more than I do, but when the Ricci camp asks for help and then some of of us do, an update would be nice.
I'm glad he has privacy and he is in my prayers.
Hopefully all of Jason's fans will get some kind of update from Jason himself soon.

It's legit to ask what's up with Jason, and I'm glad someone did. I wish I could know more, because I'm worried about the guy, though I haven't spent much time with him in the 10+ years since he was my harp teacher and friend down in south Florida. At the same time, I absolutely respect his privacy.

Yes, It IS a llegit question. Why don't you call or email him instead of opening the gates of speculation and rumor. Jason has the ability to respond or not, he has not disappeared. This flamed out of control in the beginning when the rumors started flying. I think, in respect for Jason, we should'nt start the rumor mill again.

The question posed by the OP is entirely legitimate, as it the curiosity of many here. The truth is, those who are able to answer--including me--have chosen not to comment, and for good reasons. You'll have to trust me on that.
