I have been playing harmonica for a while, but had to relearn it due to jaw surgery over the summer -- the motions are kind of different now. I write lots of music, and it generally stems from a grounding in poetry -- music is a side effect of that pursuit. I also play acoustic guitar, and I'm more influenced by guitarists like Michael Hedges and Paco de Lucia than I am by acoustic blues, though I do incorporate blues into my playing. My songwriting is still in its infancy, as is evidenced here:

I wouldn't check out the really early stuff, it's pretty rough and poorly executed.
I hope to learn a great deal here.

Influenced by Paco, say no more, welcome tf10music.
I saw Paco with John Macloughlin and Al Dimeola a few times...awesome!

That must have been an awesome show...Paco is a wonderful talent.
He gets this incredible definition in his notes -- I wish I had that kind of precision, but I'm far from that level. So, so far...
