I think I'll follow Greg's lead. This was recorded at a jam. The bass player was moving away, so we had a party to send him off right.

Love the tone, what did you use? This is good and I'd listen to a CD of this kinda stuff (I don't listen to harmonica/blues much lately, either).

Even though we're lucky to have Joe on the West Coast these days the time he spent in Chicago clearly had a great influence on his style.

Great stuff - tone and SWING!

Nice one, Joe you had me boogeying around the kitchen.

Understated and controlled, good band, good tone.

@Zack - It was a Shure controlled magnetic element in a Hohner Blues Blaster shell. The amp sounds like my Harpgear Double Trouble. The amp was neither mic'ed, nor lined-out into the PA.

The lineup was Steve Freund (guitar), Marcus Carino (bass), June Core (drums) and me (harp/vocals). They are a great bunch of guys with a lot of years of playing the natural Blues.

......Dave and I are both from the Columbus, Ohio area and have known each other since the 60's. We correspond now online after losing track of each other for a while. He is one of the best guitarists I know.

This sounds so cool.
I listened a few times to try to understand why it sounds so good.
Is it because its is " thematic"? I has a base ,, and it gets established,,, then still keeping the base , you vary off to spice it up.

Is that what makes it so listenable & stick in your head?
Im sorry Im thinking out loud here& question at the same time. , but Im trying to glean knowledge from you guys.
