Hi Bro it's great to see someone who wishes to take the instrument seriously and advance farther than an A-Grader, Great Respect to you Bro i will Help you out anytime :)
I could hear those couple of slight Tongue Slaps creat work Have you been working on them in a song context or Scale Pattern? Try a 1st Position scale you will have full command of them within Hours due to your skill Leval:)
Your Right you can work on the Bends Draw and Blow but at the moment you have pretty well got the gist just need some Polish:)
Your Tongue Blocking is fine Great Tone nice you have a good selection of tricks runs bends triplets work with what you have for now:)
Glide into each note, you are bouncing from note to note at the moment,we want nice smooth Fluent Transitions But thats about it :)
PS i Listend 3 times to give my best advice, sorry man i couldn't look at ya Head it wa distracting me:)
---------- Cheers Big Ears:)

@clamsharpplayer. Hi and welcome to the MBH forum. Firstly let me say I am no wizard with the harp yet I'm just a leisure player who enjoys the challenge.
FWIW You can obviously pick out and play single notes and some scales OK but the test comes when you can play them in some kind of context. At this stage you seem to be a bit hesitant and I can detect you thinking about what comes next. This is something time, experience and muscle memory will cure and you'll be able to run through those scales and notes and it will flow better with no gaps.
I think it would have been better if you had played some sort of recognisable tune using your bends and blow bends. We can all pick and play those out fairly easily but it's when they need to be in context with the tune that it will show your development level.
Also take into account that once the video is running you may get the nerves and probably play a lot better when you are more relaxed.
You are further along than me in many respects, so I may not be the best poster to give advice. But, I'd say the next aspect to work on is rhythm. In my opinion, developing rhythm is just as important as learning the notes. I’d suggest you get a metronome and use it every time you practice. Not just for songs, but also when you play your scales, triplets, etc. Tap your foot along with the beat. This will help you incorporate your riffs into meaningful phrases and songs. Keep up your work on what you are doing, add rhythm, and you’ll be at a whole new level.
You've got a lot of fine stuff going on there. We can see technically about where you are. We can give you help on those little things, but where we can really help is if you play us a song.
Letting us see how you deliver will let us see all of that and so much more. So let her rip, you've already broken the ice, good for you.
PS. We'll be happy to comment on just this vid if you like, I think it would be more productive in context. Just let us know and we'll get to it.
Wow. Thanks for the responses. Todd, I was in a band from 1988 to 1995. Then I quit......no Harp, nothing. Our Band decided to have a reunion gig. So I started playing again Aug. 2010. The gig was a Blast. Oct 23 2010
15 years later and I'm in for real now.
what I want is to not fall into my old habits of sucking. N.O.D, First position sounds good enough place to start. I don't know it.(except for the Do Ray Me scale) Thanks again, My Friends call me Fat
