Just a gentle reminder for those taking part. Only 30 days left to get your performances polished, in the can, and onto YouTube.
I've had two weeks of non-playing due to a rotten cold so I'm way behind. Can't breath, can't hear, can't play.

Has anyone entered yet? I did a search on YouTube for "Blow your brains out", and got no harp videos.
Lots of cool other stuff for that search however.

I got a new tune written. It's got words and a guitar part, but I'm not happy with the harp part.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you've added as much fuel to that particular fire as anyone.
In any case, those threads have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with BYBO, unless you or anyone else choose to weave them into it.
It's meant to be a fun thing, N.O.D. Let's keep it that way.

I'm working on some stuff. Yesterday we had an awesome jam, but my friend doesn't want to post it.... so a couple of bad chords... who cares? Well no, I understand. It's still a dam shame though.
Another 30 days of time...

I hope N.O.D. reconsiders, and makes an entry. I'd also like to see something from "you know who".
Unfortunately I believe all the entries will come from intermediate players. The beginners are afraid they will look foolish, and the advanced guys think they are too good for this.
Just my opinion...

I plan on trying to put something together, I know I won't win anything but it'd be a good experience just to participate and have a little fun with it.
I'm not going to put any pressure on myself to try and be anyone or play better then anyone, I'm just going to play the way I play and have fun. That's all music is about for me, having fun.

I'm working on something which i have a love/hate relationship with at the moment.
@Tooka i think i caught your Man flu big style, don't think i'll be practicing for a few days:o(
(my wife thinks im putting it on , she obviously doesn't understand the severity of Man flu and the effects on the male body)

@Zack. Further to Micks answer. A soundfile will be fine but preferably if you can load it onto YouTube. I've seen so many problems with people trying to upload QuickTime links to the forum that I think this may be a problem for me too. I may just need to supply a link to wherever the soundfile is.
@Ant. Women just don't realise how we suffer. My wife works in a doctors surgery from time to time and you wouldn't believe the viruses she brings home with her. She may have a little chesty cough for a day or two but it can put me on my back for weeks.
I keep telling her that it affects the more highly tuned instruments more because we're just more finely balanced, but she wont have it. I almost died last week, I was feeling that bad but hey! I've got a BYBO to sort out first.
Keep warm. I found Synex Nasal Spray and a hot water bottle quite soothing. Hot toddy may help but I don't drink.
