I think it's a good ear training technique, as long as you mix in other techniques as well. If it was available to buy, I'd buy it, but I don't like this buy a 1 year license stuff. It lets people bleed you for money over time without giving you anything more for your value, but that's just my personal problem with the business model.

Audacity will do the same thing the slow downer does... as well as change the key of any tune, and it's free. I never had the bendometer (mac) but slowing it down is enough...and usually works for me.

I paid the second year. I use it more to help me get the right notes on bends. It does recoginze the right notes but not good tone.

I downloaded this a while ago to see what is was like. I think it has it's uses but for me it wasn't accurate enough.

If you are using it to learn to hit your bends precisely you are better off doing this by ear IMO. Play the note on a keyboard or guitar and then try and hit it with the bend. This will train your ear better. However a tuner can also be useful to get some visual feedback.

Again for trying to work out the key a song is in you are better off learning to do it by ear.

If you need a tuner for whatever reason have a look at this (I'm on a MAC but I'm sure you can find something similar if you're on a PC):

It's accurate to 1 cent. Free for 90 days and only $15 if you want to buy it. I use it for tuning my harps.
