I don't know. I gave it a shot. I couldn't figure out how to embed a file as audio from your host. You could try a free Dropbox account. That's what I use. You put stuff in the public folder, right click, go to the Dropbox logo and select the copy public url, and paste it into the regular embeding code. You could use my referral code (and we'd both get some extra storage space, or you can just go to Dropbox.com. It works well with pics, audio, and files. I imagine it could probably handle video too, but YouTube doesn't count against a storage limit, so it's probably easier. It's also a decent place to back up your other important files, just don't put them in the public folder!

I really enjoyed both clips. Suggestion: On the first one, think about extending the musical idea/phrasing you are working off of up into the high register for a little variety. You can move up there on the same scale and if you do it at the right point, it makes an emotional statement and keeps things from becoming repetitious. FWIW.

Sounds good to me. Though I would like to have had more volume on the harmonica.

You are a master harp player sammyharp. I particularly enjoyed the first track but they are both great to listen to and learn from.

Thanks for all the comments! I didn't really expect that so many people would like my playing.

I'm not really sure what it is about the interpretation of Help Me you don't like. Maybe you could clarify that for me, I'm interested to find out. Thanks.

Thanks for posting the clips!
In the fist tune, I thought you had some solid lyrical phrasing there. There was the dynamic section too, which is way cool. I would maybe work on building a solo like that to include a more legato and extended motif. Create some high and low points throughout.
Look up any of Derek Trucks' solos on Whippin' post via YouTube. Listen to not only his use of dynamics, but his intensity too - real clean and articulate to really raunchy and crunchy.

Sounds good to me.
And I disagree with NOD - nothing is sacred. I liked what you did on Help Me. Should Stevie Ray Vaughan have done "The Sky Is Crying" just like Elmore James? Hell no - I think SRV's version is better. ---------- /Greg
