16 hole "gold" plated, 64 chromatic by SWAN of China. I see these advertised for $70, brand new. Is this a piece of junk or will it actually stand up to the rigors of professional work, be airtight, and play good? That price sounds almost too good to be true. Any comments or remarks please, before I blow my money?? Thanks, Joe Lee Bush

Joe, I have heard from many people that it's a pretty good chromatic.

I've got one, but chrome. It plays fine, even better than my Super 64 did new. I can't speak for their consistency as it's the only Swan I ever played, but this one's just fine. The case is identical to my Super 64's case, too. ----------

I have thre chromed. They were selled in one strange music store in St. Petersburg for 20$ and I practice them mostly (for gigs I'm using chromonica deluxe 48, and hering deluxe black 64). And these Swans are perfect 64s for 20$ (((: For 70$, I'd prefer to look for other brand's 48s. Yes Swan sucks extra air, it needs regapping, fine tuning at least. It's quiet (and it's usefull for practice) but it has nice mellow tone when recorded. ---------- Excuse my bad English. Click on my photo or my username for my music.
