I just watched it live. I was there, take a lesson from Howard Levy and jam with him. It was great.

The other harmonica player is great player Michael Vladimirov, my first real harmonica teacher. He won 1st place in jazz diatonic harmonica at latest World Harmonica Championship in Trossingen, his performance there http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nceCSUkfgb4

I saw Howard do a lot of that lip smacking/kiss your harp kind of percussive lick that he does early on in the clip...at SPAH. R J Mischo also did it quite a bit when I saw him play. I find it an interest effect myself.

Joch, you jam with boys who play a lot of rock and roll; youll find yourself doing more of it, of that im certain...

Howard is so far outside the 'standard' blues harmonica school of playing. His ideas and playing are really inspiring. Shattering boundaries as always!

Howard's exchange with the slide guitarist brought me back to when he would trade licks with Bela and Victor Wooten on "Magic Fingers". Really liked the 50's-esque (I think) licks towards the end too. Super cool!

More of a reason to go study another instrument or study a unique harmonica player who is also a master on piano.

Thanks for posting, Buddah.
