Hello It's my first posting here. Just recorded a few jigs on diatonic harmonica, don't know, if it appropriate here.

My heroes of irish harmonica are Phil Murphy, Mark Graham, Brendan Power, James Conway, Howard Levy (he can play everything, including irish music, i heard a couple of tunes and it's great)

rmiker Thanks for a kind words, and shame on me - i forgot to mention Steve Shaw. It was his article that brought me to use Low D harmonicas.
I've also forgot to mention Buddy Greene - he's a brilliant musician, i can listen to his music for days!
I've been playing a harmonica about a year, and started to play irish music on harmonica about a 8 month ago, so my skill is not very high now..

rmiker I have not so much time to practice (there is a work and a family), but i try to practice as much as i can, music means a lot to me. And when i'm not playing i always listening to great Irish musicians - The Bothy Band, Tony MacMahon, Chieftains, Andy Irvine and so on.
I have a Paddy Richter harp (D and G), but today i like a standard Richter layout more, because of G chord everywhere and octave playing. May be tomorrow i'll change my mind, it happens sometimes :)
Orm, You certainly listen to some good players. For me, listening is as important as playing. I learn the tunes in my head first, then go looking for the notes on the harp.
I have several pairs of Paddy Richter tuned, Lo D and G harps I keep just for ITM. Not worrying about octaves and chords.
I look forward to seeing more of your YouTube vids in future. Cheers, Mike
