Hi all,
I started playing harp back in the late 60's, mostly picking up by ear from Dylan and some rock bands like Cream, Led Z, Stones, etc, before getting into more real blues. But I put away my harps in the early 70's except for some intermittent playing, until recently, when on a whim, I bought a Big River Harp in A, which I found to be too airy.

But the bug got me and I've added A Lee Oskar, Hohner 150 Anniversary, Suzuki Bluesmaster and Crossover in G (which seems like the best of the lot). Most have issues in one or more reed, and I'm starting to work on them, embossing and gapping to get them to where I want them.

I've found an incredible amount of resources on the web for learning technique, music & tabs, harp reviews, videos, apps like bendometer and best practice, and forums, which this one looks like the most interesting and active. If all of this had been around years ago when I started, I might be just half-bad by now (instead of 3/4 bad). But I love playing my riffs and picking up new stuff all the time.

Anyway, I'll probably mostly lurk until I think I've got something worthwhile to add (or question to ask).

I'm also anxious to get my old MB's and Blues Harps out of storage and try to restore them.

Thanks, Adam for hosting the forum and site.

Welcome aboard Midax! If your looking for anything in particular you can check out the forum archive (down the near the bottom on the left) the forum search (also down near the bottom on the left) or the Thread-Thread Organizer (in my signature) or just ask. Like every forum, people get crazy from time to time, but by and large it's a pretty helpful bunch around here. :)

Thanks, I'll try to check the archive and search before asking questions that have already been discussed.

midax, it's o.k. to ask. Things are always changing. The archive is useful, but you are always welcome to ask again.
