Every now and then I'll hear whole songs in my head, complete with words, melody and harmony. By the time I scribble out the lyrics most of the music has evaporated, except maybe the most vague echo of what surely would have been my masterpiece.
The rest of the time I hear sit-com theme songs and Jonathan Coultan songs.
When I pick up my harp without anything in mind.. mostly it's amazing grace. Yesterday after playing the first notes again without thinking any of it I asked my guitarist what he thinks of the song... and he just rolled his eyes.
Could be that I nudled around that theme a couple of times too often. :) ---------- Don't engage in negativity!
What music goes on in my head? Usually the last thing I heard. Currently it's this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8pvXLVu8Yk&feature=related ---------- Andrew, gentleman of leisure, noodler extraordinaire.
"Front Porch Blues" has been in my head all week. It's still out of my league, ability wise, but I'm picking up pieces of it, and one day I'll have it down.
Nick, very nice. ...playing little games like not lookng at it for a whole day, and then looking at it to see if i still liked it... Third row center for that tour. Wow. (!) Otherwise in my head, because I'm learning it on harp, are the horn parts on Brick House and the base line on Stayin Alive.
