I tried the Hering Golden Blow. It's a $300 harp from Hering's Custom Shop that is designed for OB'ing. When I tried it, I could hardly OB on the damn thing.
The Hering dude told me it was my technique. I told him he was silly to have so much faith in an instrument that is truly a golden blow. This harp sucks scrotum big time.

Chris, I agree... why do you think they call them the Golden BLOW. There is NO way in heck I would play a harp called the Golden Blow, or anything with the word "blow" in the name for that matter.

Golden Blow...I think I saw that on a price list in Singapore in a shop with a barber pole out front...oh never mind. Yeah, that's a horribly thought-out name for a harp-or anything. ----------

it's a good idea to avoid herings that are called blues too. (i avoid anything labeled blues) the hering 1927 is okay.
Golden Blow; incredible name no matter how you look at it. ---------- MP hibachi cook for the yakuza doctor of semiotics superhero emeritus

I suppose it's a good enough stock moothie, but the best wae to get a really good instrument is to speak tae your customizer of choice and let him know how you approach your instrument. a bit of dialogue gaun's a long wae, I did quite a bit of work for people in the past and it would take me two or three attempts tae get it spot on. I actually heard from another good overblow player that the reeds were set up really well but the harp itself is flimsy. He said its overpriced but if it had a better comb then he said it would be better. He said it overblowed really well.

golden blow-what a marketing gimmick-no when a harp has a name like that I know the sellers are up to something would not touch it with a 10 foot pole
