Hey folks,

I wanted to get some opinions on the epiphone valve Senior combo. its only about $360 bucks and 20watts 6v6 all tube with the 12" lady luck speaker. I have the 5w valve jr half stack and love the tone on the cheap... Does anyone think the senior will sound like the JR.? just a bit louder?

I would think it to be quite a bit louder. With the 4 X 12AX7 pre-amp complement likely a feedback monster.
Rolling 5751's, AY's, AU's and other variants could take some time finding the good mix.
But, yeah...$360 is a nice price.

would I have to change the first preamp tube to a lower value or would I have to change all of them?

I posted the same question about a month ago about this same amp. There was a very detailed answer from one of the forum members about why this WOULD NOT be a good amp for harp. However no-one I know has actually tried it yet and I also thought it was very good value for money.

I would really like to hear from someone who has actually tried it.

Thanks Oisin! I'll check that out. I'm very glad you chimed in, thanks.
