Anyone got one of these they'd care to share? I fancy having a couple of combs run up for myself

You need the G-code file. The cad will have to be converted to a G-code file or you will pay big bucks to have it converted. Just have a comb cut with 0.165 slots. Measure from center of one rivet to the next, this will be your center to center measurement.(I.E., X+ moves) Cut the slots long then you can make into any comb you want, except Seydel of course. Actually, you can write the g-code file in 20 mins. Its just a standard asci text, you can write it in notepad. Just look up the G-code commands. You need to know what controller program the machinist is using as there are variances in G-code programs from controller to controller. Its not at all hard. As far as making combs goes, CAD is a complete waste of time. Serves no purpose whatsoever. A simple comb is less than 30 lines of code.

Gee, funny - when I asked the same question, I got a virtual flaming cattle prod shoved my ass.

I even offered free laser cut acrylic comb to anyone who asked.

...must be a secret handshake club.

Tahoe, I suspect it depends who does the answering as much as who does the answering. Just like comedy it's all about knowing your audience and timing. ;)
