Thought of this while looking at IsaacUllah's "need pix of your face" thread and some folks had posted piocs of themselves as kids. Why don't we have a pic where we post old pics of ourselves, kid pics, young adult, back when we had hair, whatever.
About 16 here, on the Greenbriar RIver in WV. I am the one on the right. I was usually that much taller than everybody else my age.

I'm about 14 here and the one standing on the top of the tower:

I never had hair. Certainly not long, almost to my butt gorgeous luxurious hair that. If my computer was working, I certainly wouldn't have pictures of said hair, so the fact that my computer is broken is of no concern. When I get my new computer I certainly won't hook up my hard drive and look for pictures of said hair.

Stay young bra! The ocean will keep you there....
Great surf pic....what break is that? Looks like outer Jockos on a day when Chun's is closing?
I was up on the NS for a few days for a friends B-Day. He talked me into jumping! Naturally I brought the harp. Bflat at 15,000ft! Finally I found an audience! To boldly go where no Manji has gone before....good times!
Still learning......always practicing!
I have a great woodshed down in the harbor on the boat if you ever want to play/practice loud w/no worries. The Micronesian fishermen are a friendly audience!
Aloha!

People used to say I looked like Don Johnson. That was before I got fat and went bald. Now, if I shave my goatee I look like Uncle Fester.

Here is a picture from the last day of my former hobby. Boy do I miss it... you can see how messed up my form is due to my physical issues at the time. I hoped to do it into my 60's, but had to quit after this game - I was only 49.

Snakes, you gotta tell us about your pitching. I'm sitting here wondering what pitches you were throwing, what your kick was like, all that stuff. ----------

Use this code-
<img src="http://s1038.photobucket.com/albums/a470/snakes11/?action=view¤t=GBQ.jpg">
instead of this code-
<img src= <a href="http://s1038.photobucket.com/albums/a470/snakes11/?action=view¤t=GBQ.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1038.photobucket.com/albums/a470/snakes11/th_GBQ.jpg" border="0" alt="2010 Guitar-B-Que" ></a>
(Now I'll hit post and see if that actually fixed it!)

Nope, I guess not. Lol. I'm stumped. I always wanted to pitch. Unfortunately, I only threw in the low 60's and I couldn't hit the side of a barn. I did throw a whole bunch of different pitches, including a couple that might have been useful to someone with a better arm. I had a side-armed split-finger grip that I could get to break in three different directions depending on how I rolled my fingers as I released it!

Thanks for the attempt nacoran. I used my notes from a previous successful post, but obviously they were a bit lacking.
As for my pitching style David I was lucky enough to be able to rely on my fastball for all 18 yrs. I was in the adult league pictured. I also threw a curve, slider, and a change up, but threw probably 75% fastballs. My style was what you call "tall and fall" so I threw with a large spread and generally speaking 12 to 6. The only deviation from that was occasionally when I got a right handed batter behind in the count (0-2 or 1-2) I'd drop down and throw a two seam submarine ball that tailed into them. The target was always the inside corner at their knees. This pitch was very successful, but only thrown a couple times per game. Catchers would tell me I threw a "heavy" ball, but I can't really tell you how I did that because it was supposedly heavy on both my two seam and four seam fastball. My forte was being able to spot the ball (location) moving it up and down in and out and changing speeds slightly on my fastballs. My motto was I owned the inside half of the plate whether you could pull the ball or not. I'd usually make you prove you could pull the ball. At my best I threw from the low to mid-eighties so I was not necessarily a fireballer, but I could put it past a few people on a good day. My best game for stirkeouts was 14 K's in 9 innings. I usually liked to finish what I started and a couple of times pitched 10 innings in one day. Suffice it to say that all that gets me now is some good memories (i.e. 14 years of tourneys on the spring training facilities in the general Phoenix area) and the ability to converse well during the games when I watch now. Seems like just yesterday now even though it has been 4 yrs. since I played.
