Good points, John. Also, I think it needs to be made clear that pretty much everyone, if not every single member of this forum, has nothing but the best wishes for the subject of your post. We have or at least feel a connection with him through his music and his selfless sharing over the years and committment to promoting the harmonica, with some having a more personal relationship with the guy. Some of the comments shared might have been misconstrued;some folks can get a point across well with the written word, while others fall a little short. Not to fault anyone-that's just because we're all wired differently. I can only speak for myself, and I wish him the best in getting back on his feet and to whatever position on this rock he wishes to attain. I'll keep listening. ----------

6. The road to hell is paved with good intentions 7. Well-intentioned people who don't know all the facts probably shouldn't be posting videos to YouTube in which they put famous harmonica players' troubles in the street and use those troubles to solicit direct financial contributions.
I have read all this and I don´t know what to say. First of all I think it´s very strange to ask complete strangers on the internet for money. And especially through another person. But I understand that here in the little duck pond called Sweden where I live it´s another welfare system than in USA. Life seem to be much harder over there. One thing I have learned is that when money is involved you can´t trust anyone. So if you don´t know facts - demand facts on the table.
Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art. - Charlie Parker
...and, hopefully, we can avoid name-calling and rehashing the other mess in this thread.
If you creep a little towards the nasty side, there will be somebody out there that wants to take it and creep a little more. Sometimes is just best to shut up. Which is what I'm doing starting n ----------
from my personal standpoint, all I know that jason was ill after that I have no idea of anything deeper-despite the controversy that comes up from time to time, this forum is very positive-there are pros and rank amateurs like myself and I am listening to all the wealth of information which is valued highly and appreciated by me
Here's one, people are human and make mistakes. It's important to be able to forgive. Some of you are being way too hard on yourselves.
On an unrelated topic, I learned this from a movie once, "If I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own backyard. Because if it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with!"
@ tahoe. what is (NSFW)? no shit fuck wad? - and BUZ, i don't like the reeds on most Brazillian harps. the hering blues types are pretty weak-in the middle register.

that really sounds like mel--I really enjoyed the lethal weapons movies--but mel gibson is really psychotic--will not see anymore movies with him and tom cruise
The only reason I emphasize this is that this assumption, like a recent thread gone bad, is merely supposition.
I have a very good friend who worked for Gibson for almost ten years doing personal protection ("bodyguard"). He has told me several times that Mel Gibson is a target in Hollywood and has been for quite some time.
The point being, that until you have all the facts, try not to read too much into so-called "news" stories, online fundraisers etc.
i quit reading that thread when i realized it was likely B>S> and that people were getting way too wrapped up in it. somebody made a great comment there- from the horse's mouth is the only dependable information.
"from the horse's mouth is the only dependable information"
Yes, but if Jason has had his laptop stolen and accounts and password(s) hacked, then potentially nothing is from the horse's mouth unless it's from Adam himself (ok, strictly speaking that would still be indirect but it would be the safest option).
Having said that, analysis of Violin Cat's language left me fairly confident that it was really Jason. ---------- Andrew, gentleman of leisure, noodler extraordinaire.

somebody can only try to rant me on the phone I will slam down the phone face to face I will walk away it NEVER EVER accomplishes anything but the ranter making an ass of themselves about to turn the big six-o I learned this long, long ago
I had a ranting person on the phone not too long ago. I hung up and that person kept calling and calling so I answered. I couldn't hear what that person was saying but I was in the other room while the phone was in the kitchen.
email me. I do owe it to jason to ask if he still wants them but I don't think he does. The proceeds will go to Jason's hospital bill. That's the right thing to do with them.
