I’m going to Augusta Blues Week in Elkins, WV July 18th. This is my 3rd time to go. Each year I come back with a little bit of WOW in my pocket. I will be there with about 5 friends from The Harmonica Club of Huntington, WV. The classes from Joe Filisko, Phil Wiggins and Grant Dermody have taken me out of my rut and kicked me up a notch each year.

To quote a blues guitar player I met, “this is why you work 51 weeks a year, just to spend 1 week here”

Ok, let's see how well Adam has done shutting out the spammers. It used to be every time someone used a particular word you used in your post we'd get a little spam from someone selling currency for a particular online video game.

I won a scholarship from the blues foundation to attend Blues Week at Augusta this year. It will be my first time attending, so I'm really excited. I have heard some VERY good things about the camp, and I'm sure that I will take away a wealth of knowledge.

You will have a great time. I went 3 times - there's always a big gang from Buffalo area (I'm from Toronto)that go for the harmonica workshops - esp Joe Filisko's. Please have a beer for me at the Ice House. Take a big fan with you if you don't have an ac'd room (like most people).

@robdee I found out that non of the dorms will be airconditioned this year so I will be sure to bring a fan.
I don't drink but I will be sure to buy a root beer, lol.
