....right here on my PC and didn't know it. Got an iPod for Christmas and loaded up iTunes just to sync with. Have used Windows Media Player for a long time and didn't really look through all the iTunes players features until a few days ago. Clicked on the radio icon and started looking through the default list. Two of the choices really stand out to me. 1.FM's classic and modern blues channel and the Bar Rocking Blues channel, Chicago style. Lot's of harp playing featured on both. There's no tags as to who the bands or players are. That would be nice. Lot more channels listed but haven't explored them too much yet.
Also, thanks to whoever posted the WWOZ in NOLA link, toddlgreene maybe?. Got one of the 3 playing about 16 hrs. a day around here.
Edit: Just noticed, there is a window that displays the artist/band names.

I don't remember if it was me or Harvey, but you are quite welcome. On WWOZ, Jukebox Jack Lyles is the blues show DJ, and also the new president of The VooDooBlues Krewe, New Orleans' Blues Society. Harvey Berman, HarveyHarp here on the forum, is the Musician's Liaison for the Krewe as well.
I can't stream music at work anymore(Big Brother no like), but I have enjoyed 1Fm's stream before. Good stuff! ----------

Another cool option IMO is www.pandora.com Link to Pandora radio
You can make your own "stations" Just type in a song or artist, and it creates playlists based on that. You can create many stations.
Example, type in "james cotton" or "harmonica" and away you go.
You can then give a thumbs up or down for the songs played, and it will 'learn' what you like to listen to and adjust accordingly.
You need to create an account using an e-mail address.
It's free, but it will play advertisements periodically. There are some other limitations as well, but nothing really annoying.

ditto, that, Tahoe-I LOVE Pandora! I've discovered lots of new music over many different genres because of it. Your free account gets you 100 customizeable stations. ----------

"There's no tags as to who the bands or players are. That would be nice."
It should show you the name of the band and the song playing at the top of the Itunes window (in the little box that normaly shows what song you're playing from your Itunes library and show how long that song's been playing).EDIT:you may have to watch it for a minute because the name of the band/song isn't dislayed the whole time, it cycles around (that probably doesn't make a lot of sense, but you'll see what I mean)
Right now I'm listening to Howlin' Wolf's "Just My Kind" on the classic and modern blues channel.

We can't get Pandora here in the UK anymore but Grooveshark works and it's an excellent site and very easy to use.Even has some Jason Ricci on there.
But I did really like Pandora like Todd and Mike said as I got to hear a lot of new music and artists I'd never heard before like Snooky Prior, Lazy Lester and RL Burnside......and the Rev Buck Naked, Harry and the Potters and Buck Cheery if you like your punk! ---------- Oisin ---------- Oisin
