A old song i wrote 2 years ago that im trying to learn to use a harp and rack, with it and trying to get it ready for something next week,I added some reverb to the final sound but my strings are 3 months old i hadnt planed on posting but thought why not,its been awhile.
thanks guys, its allmost morning here in Oklahoma,That very last note was way out Lol,I keep listening going man did I miss that last note for sure,Ive never claimed to be well, anything really, but boy did i miss that last note,:-)
hey if you get a chance Walter any tips for my rack playing greatly appreaciated,Its so differeent in the rack I feel like i have less room to move on the harp, and im afraid to really drill the notes hard like you do,cause im afraid ill mess my harps up.Im trying to get a feel, for it though,I want to add my stompbox but right now it takes away more than it adds,so i left it out.
I watched the video and really can't suggest anything with the harp set up. I don't blow my harps very hard. Stock marine bands are lasting years and these delta frosts seem like they last forever. My 14 hole marine band in c is going on 30 years old and I use it regularly to record and at gigs. Bending notes on the rack is no different than holding it in your hands and doing it. Just keep putting those hours in with having a good time with it. Time, time, and time. That is what will get the sounds you hear inside your soul to the world. cool thanks Walter,Not saying you blow em hard in a bad way,but you can hit a note with athority,I cant firgure out how your doing it,and not busting the harps,But like you said practice.
Blowing hard is fine if the mood hits and when it does, I blow them hard. You sound like one should starting out. Finding the solo holes and bending them takes time. Maybe practice the harp in the rack while you watch tv and stuff like that so you get use to it. Not having the guitar going can make it easier to focus on the harp. I never did this. I just worked them both together till I am where I am at today, but it sounds like a good idea? Walter
PS: I also put the harp all the way to the right. It fits better that way for some reason.
