For those of you who are creating music, music videos, or other digital products, and hoping to sell those products, I'd like to recommend Tradebit, the firm that I've been working with since I first started Modern Blues Harmonica more than three years ago.

Those of you who have purchased my lessons here at MBH are familiar with Tradebit, but others of you may not be. Please check them out. The CEO, Ralf Schwoebel, is a hard-core coding guy, and he likes to keep tweaking and upgrading things. Tradebit has a lot of really cool functionalities.
Let's say you've recorded an album of five harp-driven songs on in your home recording studio. (Or let's say you're WalterTore and you've recorded three million harp-driven songs in your home studio.) You can sign up quick and easy, then upload the songs either individually or as a zip file. Once they're uploaded, you can quickly create a page from which to sell them, and you can include a sample from each mp3, a photo, and of course a description of the music. Then you can link to this new Tradebit page from whatever homepage you're using--your own website, or MySpace, whatever. The samples play quickly and easily for any buyer who visits your page. And the buyer can purchase your mp3s using PayPal or a major credit card. Tradbit tells you about any purchases immediately. Best of all, they pay out your sales every week on Wednesday, after deducting their commission. (Their commission is variable and negotiable, but it's around 25-30%.)
One other thing you can do is become my affiliate. I haven't talked about this before, but it's always been there and several of you have done this. You can become resellers, in effect, for ALL the files that I sell at Tradebit: all my MBH lessons, any of the albums I sell here. Tradebit explains how to do this on their affiliates page:

If you've got a website, for example, where you're selling harp-centered products, you can create HTML "purchase now" buttons for various harmonica lessons, and when people hit those buttons, go to tradebit, and purchase my lessons, YOU GET MONEY. I get somewhat less for each lesson than I would have gotten, because YOU GET SOME OF THE MONEY I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN. I forget what my payout it, but I think I'm giving people a pretty good %.
Anyway, you might think about doing one or both of those things. I really like Tradebit and I haven't once said that here. So this is the one and only time I'll do that. We now return you to your regularly scheduled cat-fight..........

Funny !!!! but so true LOL ----------

Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art. - Charlie Parker
