Thought ya'all might like this ??
The Dannecker family tradition with harmonicas started in 1895 in Germany. Every single Dannecker harmonica is custom hand built personally by Antony and incorporates his numerous specialist refinements guaranteeing optimum air-tightness, reed responsiveness and fine tuning to the highest degree of accuracy for which he is world famous.

Nice looking harp. They may have got a little carried away with the backgrounds though. I've never put my harmonica on a waterfall!

I added them to my list of customizers.

I personally would'nt call Dannecker harps custom.I have MB Deluxes and Danneker Blues.By my statement I mean you would do much better spending your money on
Spiers-Michalek-Gaylor-Filisko Guild and probably many others IMHO.

As I expand my list (see other thread) I'd like to get a general idea of what each customizer does. Is it custom combs, covers, reed work, etc.

The Dannecker is not on the same level as the stuff done by customizers like the Filisko guild, Joe Spiers, Chris as Bluesharper said because the single most important ingredient that's missing is the reed work thosse guys do. Danneckers may be better tuned for your needs in terms of tuning or gapping, but those guys do FAR beyiond what they do and the biggest differences between customizers is in the reed work, which is THE most important part of the process and so I can't put a Dannecker in their category at all.
