Hey guys, it's Thursday night again and that means MBH Skype chat. If you want to join in, there are a couple things you need to know. You'll need a Skype account, and then you'll need to at Modernbluesharmonica to your contact list, and we'll add you back, but please don't call us, we'll call you.
Skype is a bit of a system resource hog and if a bunch of people start calling at once it slows the system to a crawl. For now, the easiest way seems to be for MBH to start a conference call and add people to it. If you want in, leave a message in this thread and we'll add you when it starts.

P.S., I don't have a microphone this time. I'm going to see if it's a little less confusing if I just host. I can't seem to operate a computer and talk at the same time.

I've contacted Superman. He's going to spin the planet with some English on it. It will put us all in the same time zone, although it may cause slight dizziness and nausea until we get used to it. :)
edit: I may have a more practical solution too! The biggest problem I had was every time someone called I had to leave the main conversation (which paused it for everyone) to answer.
I noticed you can IM someone without leaving the main conversation. That may be a good way to add people, although I didn't get a chance to see if you could check an IM in another conversation without pausing but I was able to send them. If people IM to enter the thread it should fix that problem.

I'd like to be added but I am not sure what we are doing in these chats. Jams, chatting, lessons, BS'ing, all of the above??? I am pretty sure I am already on the contact list but I have no idea when the meet up is or what I should have prepared???

I can work around time issues, but there have to be enough people to make it worth while. The lag makes jamming difficult, although we can take turns. I'm figuring this Skype thing out slowly. I was having problems adding people to the conversation. Is anyone maybe a little more familiar with Skype? Is there a way to set up a chat room so people on the contact list can add themselves?
