Before you mentioned them in a post awhile back, I wouldn't have known Moreland & Arbuckle from...well, Adam.
I've immersed myself into their generic sound, complete with plenty of tasty harp playing and a great voice I wish I had. Another MBH forum success story!

You are quite welcome! I was just listening to them on the way in to school today. I just love that new album!

Flood-I'm actually listening to it now. So simple a sound-but complete at the same time. Nothing 'groundbreaking' or 'innovative' in their music, but it gets by fine without trying to recreate anything or invent a new sound. Very pleasant to listen to.

At tomorrow's club meeting, we'll do a 'new music' time, and I'll play some of their stuff to introduce their music to several new ears.

Bulletin for the Canucks (Ontarians)... M&A are appearing at the Kitchener Blues Fest (a free festival) on Saturday August 7. I'll also be catching the 95-year-old Honeyboy Edwards earlier that day, and Rick Estrin on the Friday evening. Lots of other good acts too.

Sweet! And I betcha it's not gonna be in the mid 90s and 90% humidity there, either? I wish I could fly up for that. Give us a full report.

Nah toddl, you got it all wrong. Come August those poor
eastern hosers are putting up the snow fences and rink boards and deciding if the igloo is going to have one or two stories this year. :)

I only really envy them at this time of year! In a perfect life, I'd live in Alaska-from May til August only.

Hey Moose - I think those poor Calgaryagonians would argue with you on that point. We didn't even have enough snow to lend you guys for the olympics!!! ;-)

Thread Hijack !!!!!

KW Festival is coming up and the line up sounds fantastic for sure.
Mr, so&so is commited, Jawbone wants to get there, I plan on getting there, oda was planning on getting there, we may have to make this a MBH North event.
We'll work it out off line and see what we can do but if any others in the SWO area (or any other's at all for that matter, hell we're friendly up here) wanting to make this an event?
Is so and you want to post your email addy's here using the word "at" in place of @, we'll see if we can pull it all together.

Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art. - Charlie Parker
