I just got an email from the Reno Blues Society with this info:

Jay Gaunt is one of three artists, who will be featured on a CBS Sunday Morning segment about Harrison Harmonicas. Interviewed by Mo Rocca, Jay also performed with Michael Powers at Terra Blues, NYC, last Friday. The segment is tentatively scheduled for this Sunday, May 23

Last I heard, I was supposed to be a part of this segment on CBS - but I guess not. Glad I am on MBH so I can find out things like this. :-)

Just caught the show this morning. Awesome to see the instrument on a national TV program outside of anything being broadcast on PBS.

@Todd. Todd, Having done a TV broadcast for the Today Show back in 1986 with the Cambridge Harmonica Orchestra, it's not a surprise because even 2 hours worth of shooting often has to get whittled down to often times as little as 20 seconds to maybe 90 seconds at the most and even 5 minutes is a long amount on a show like that so no one is every fully satisfied in that regard.

Yea: They messed up my makeup and made me look like I was embalmed on a CNN interview once (healthcare as opposed to music related) so being left out can sometimes be a good thing aesthetically. Nac: I don't know about CBS but my daughter is in the cast of an ABC soap opera and they usually have their segemnts aired 24 hours after broadcast. And of course congrats to Brad - he's a friend and I play his harps (when I can afford to). d
