Bro's this is a Legacy 5-watt a clone of the Epiphone VJ in fact it is a VJ Rebadged to sell in Australia along side the Epiphones VJ, I just didn't like the weight of the Press Board cab, and with my HG-2 it's just sitting in the wardrobe, but i break it out now and then so i tossed the cab to make it lighter to hall out of the Wardrobe,
Im building a twin 8 speaker cab for it with 2 Vintage Magnavox speakers but it's comeing in the next 2 weeks,
i used 2 mill Aluminium checker plate,i cut the plate by hand with a hand held electric Jigsaw, after i made some jigs to cut it strait, to form the bends in the cab i used a rubber Hammer, clamped a bit of small steel bar to my bench then Hammerd it over the bar forming the rounded curves, Yes i sweated my guts out belted my hand a said swear words but I'm Happy with the finised job:)

Wow,that looks great! The original was the combo amp version, not the head version, correct? If so, it'd probably be worth it to add out jacks from all the other taps of the OT so you would have the 4ohm and the 16ohm options in addition to the 8ohm. Have you had a look at the lone wolf VJ mods instructions? They are damn easy (especially for a dude with skills like you), and they DRASTICALLY improve the tone. I'd also be interested to see how you think a VJ modded with the lone wolf mods stands up to a HG2. That would, IMO, be a VERY interesting head 2 head comparison!
Great work on the cab. It looks hella bad! ---------- ------------------

On that subject, isaac, my Randy Landry-himself-modded V Jr combo is headed up to Hill Country tomorrow(sadly, I'm not) with our club President for just such a comparison. I am extremely pleased with what his mods did to it. Night and day from the stock sound. I know, I know...post more vids...I will when all my unplanned home remodeling is done.
One ugrade I would possibly entertain is a 10 or 12 in a combo instead of the 8, which isn't horrible;I just like the extra bottom end. I might have to consider using some aluminum plate instead of wood-that looks really fine! ----------
