Hello Everyone,
I've only been "playing" for about 2 months now, but I am completely hooked. I have never studied music, or played an instrument, so I am trying to catch up and this site has helped a lot. Thanks for all the good information.

Hi Eddie,
This site is a fantastic resource for the new player. I am in the same boat as you, and I don't even know anyone else, who is remotely interested in blues harp, however as you say I am hooked. This site (even though I don't always post) has made me feel connected to a different community.

Hi EddieT,
welcome to the forum. Where are you from? I'm a beginner too and I look forward to reading about your questions and impressions regarding your learning process. Fair warning: try to avoid politics, religion and threads with more than 50 posts...it's been a little crazy recently.

Hi Eddie,
I took a look at your boxing videos. Wow! You are obviously very disciplined and have tremendous control of your body. I think there are aspects of harp playing which you are going to find quite easy. Welcome to the forum.

Heart2Harp I am originally from Carbondale Pa, but have moved around a little. I have been living in Mackenbach Germany for almost 3 years now for work (Contractor for USAF) but I am looking for a new job so not sure where I'll be in a few months.
tookatooka Thanks. I think my martial arts background helps with the discipline it requires to play and I also am already familiar with abdominal breathing (in Kung Fu we call it reverse breathing or back to birth breathing). Other than that I think I have the same problem as all beginners. In the future I hope to post some of playing like the rest of you. ---------- -Edward Tomaine http://www.youtube.com/user/HungTaoChoyMei
